Is this the best way to style curls?

OK so here is my daily hair regmen. I wash my hair bending over the bath tub. I then put my hair in a towel. Then I come my hair out and apply mousse. This regemen worked for like one day. Niw all my curls are doing is frizzy and getting really thick. I have been using finesse mousse. However I do have hair cream by ion it comes in a white bottle with a green top. Should I start using this product more instead of the mousse? Also if I use the cream will it elongate my curls? And can I air dry my hair using the ion cream? Please answer these questions I am clueless when it comes to my curls these days. They are starting to frustrate me also.
